Card making has giving me a lot of pleasure over the past 5 years, I am a very busy person by nature, always fiddling with something, and when I learn something new I am the first to pass it on, today at my class I showed the girls how to make the little lace posy, and the lovely little flower from Becca's bits (Amazing paper grace) if you have any tips to pass on, please share them, the joy you will receive by someones face lighting up, when they have mastered a new technique, is worth the reward,
Enjoy your crafting where ever you are,
There is just to much selfishness in the world, to keep things to yourself.

Cards for tomorrows Class
Envelope Card,
I got a card very similar to this from
Mary O Leary for my birthday 2 years ago,
and made my own template, to share.
Please email me here if you would like a copy of my template
Double Tri-fold Cascade Card
We will add a greeting and some butterflies to this card, I have added a 15cm Embossed Card to the back of this card so that we can add an insert.
This card is made from 1 sheet of A4 card, I am also doing this Card at the Kilkenny Workshop on the 14th of May, but in a different style, so I'm saving the template untill after the workshop, and will show it as a tutorial.
Box Aperture Lace Card
Flat petal cluster flower was found on a tutorial
at Amazing Paper Grace, it's so simple you'll love it.
Blue Bird Concertina Fold Card
Very simple card but the Beautiful Art work from Kanban really make this one.
All links are in the right hand column
If you have any questions about my cards or where I get my crafty bits from please email me,

Hi Everyone
Had a great day yesterday in Belfast at the creative knit and craft show, did a class with Stephanie Weighman in the morning and really enjoyed it, we made the lovely new 3D flower from her new range of diecut flowers. met up with some old friends and had lunch across the road in the pub with the girls, spent a small fortune, and only got 3 things on my wishlist, but still managed to go home broke.

Question about card making ideas
Hi Yvonne
I am looking for a few ideas to use for card making classes in our local Cuan Mhuire Centre where I have agreed to help them begin with cards. I think they will be mostly men and would appreciate if you could give me a few ideas on where to start with something simple yet effective.
Thanks
Martina Wright
Monaghan
Hi Martina keep the cards very simple to start off with
below are 2 very simple designs which could be adapted for men's card, using stronger colour schemes
1. Silver 14cm by 20cm for 1st layer
2. Printed paper 13cm by 19cm, for 2nd layer
3. Choose a simple topper and layer it up on the silver and a plain colour card,
4. Print out a greeting and layer up on Silver and plain card.
Add some peel-offs and an embellishment
C5 card as above
But with 3 x 5cm Sq Panels down the side these could be matted and layered
A small embellishment on each Sq panel
Make a greeting as before
Again add some peel-off details
Hope that helps
Good Luck with the new classes

I can't believe I am almost up to twenty thousand views and get so few comments, please leave a comment I would love to hear from you, if you can't manage to post a comment click my email button and send a comment by email to me. I will pop your comments up for you, and answer any card making questions you have.
Below are 2 special cards I had to make this morning,
Wedding card for a special blessing
I have used one of my new Martha Stewart deep edge boarder punches along the edge on this card, and a sizzix thin tuxedo die for the toppers, some die-cut doves and beautiful organza flowers.
First Communion Bookatrix Card
I used a Nellie Snellin Die to make the frame behind the image, added some pearls, peel-offs, communion embellishment, and a printed greeting, I stuck a 5 by 7 inch card at the back of the bookatrix to allow me to add a blessing to the insert, which also helps the bookatrix to stand up.
