Question about card making ideas

Hi Yvonne

I am looking for a few ideas to use for card making classes in our local Cuan Mhuire Centre where I have agreed to help them begin with cards. I think they will be mostly men and would appreciate if you could give me a few ideas on where to start with something simple yet effective.

Thanks

Martina Wright

Hi Martina keep the cards very simple to start off with
below are 2 very simple designs which could be adapted for men's card, using stronger colour schemes

A4 card folder in half,
Making a C5 card with 2 matting layers

1. Silver 14cm by 20cm  for 1st layer
2. Printed paper 13cm by 19cm, for 2nd layer
3. Choose a simple topper and layer it up on the silver and a plain colour card,
4. Print out a greeting and layer up on Silver and plain card.
Add some peel-offs and an embellishment

  Card 2

C5 card as above
But with 3 x 5cm Sq Panels down the side these could be matted and layered
A small embellishment on each Sq panel
Make a greeting as before
Again add some peel-off details

Hope that helps
Good Luck with the new classes
Yvonne

Wedding card for a special blessing

I have used one of my new Martha Stewart deep edge boarder punches along the edge on this card, and a sizzix thin tuxedo die for the toppers, some die-cut doves and beautiful  organza flowers.

First Communion Bookatrix Card

I used a Nellie Snellin Die to make the frame behind the image, added some pearls, peel-offs, communion embellishment, and a printed greeting, I stuck a 5 by 7 inch card at the back of the bookatrix to allow me to add a blessing to the insert, which also helps the bookatrix to stand up.
