Handmade Christmas Cards

The Essence of Christmas
Well Christmas is well and truly started in my craft room.

Simply Delicious
The main image is a Vintage Christmas image from HERE
The Recipes and food clip art are from Printable Heaven, HERE

I made a Pocket to store the recipe cards in for the back of the card

This card was all about the wonderful food we eat at Christmas.
When I was a child I remember my Mam had a special cupboard, where she started gathering special goodies just for Christmas, you could look, but not touch until Christmas eve, when the extra special food started to appear, and each day until new years eve, we had delightful treats to eat.

Anticipation
Remember when you were a Child, the excitement of Christmas
This beautiful image from Christine Haworth captured that feeling.
Background from Craft Creations

Elegance in Pink
This card was made by joining 2 x 5 inch Sq Scalloped cards together, then scoring diagonally the left and right covers, to form the folded back gate fold card,
Main image from Etsy.
Pink snowflake paper HERE

The large white poinsettia, has a beautiful pearl and diamond cluster button in the centre.

Card opened to reveal a photo corner pocket to hold the topper in place.

Back view of card,
the overlapped cards looked so pretty I decided to add the ribbon seam, and some peel-offs  to finish it off.

Welcome Home for Christmas
This card is for a young couple arriving home for Christmas
and has a beautiful garland surrounding the front door with a tartan bow to finish

Remembrance
Beautiful Angel image from Etsy.
I have used white organza bow, with ivy and holly leaves, white poinsettias, marabou feathers, and beautiful glittered white fern,
This card is for Family or Friends away from home.
but would also be perfect to remember a lost loved one.

I would love some feed back, so please let me know what you think

  10. Yvonne,
Phil Curran here. Been really busy so only leaving comment that I should have left in December. Your 'Simply Delicioys' card was described by anyone who saw it as 'AMAZING'. Loved it so much I did it with a group of elderly people who started off going to give it to someone and then wanted to keep it for themselves. Thanks for your generosity in sharing your ideas and it's also amazing how you can touch so many people without knowing it. You were part of a team who provided entertainment and a little gift (the card) for each of the elderly people in the group. Many, many thanks. I should also acknowledge to you how delighted I am with the shape of the 'Easel gatefold wedding card'. I have used this shape so many times to make really special cards. Thanks so much and look forward to meeting you again this year.
    Regards Phil
