Birthday Card
for a very special friend

Decoupage image of a beautiful French house.
with a die-cut bike, (thanks Aiveen)
I added a photo of a little basket and added some tiny flowers to it, then added a floral display down the side

This is the poem I found, that I put inside the card.
but I worked on it to make it special for my friend.

I got up this morning, but haven't yet dressed
My dishes aren't done, and my house is a mess
Have not done my house work, nor washed a pot or pan.
You see, I’m gonna be busy
There’s a card to be done.
For a special friend of mine, has a special birthday.
An extra special one
As she’s gonna be Sixty
But she’s away in the sun
So I’ve a little more time
To create a masterpiece, for this friend of mine
There’s so much to say, so much crafting to do
I'm sitting here now covered in glitter and glue
My scissors hasn’t stopped, cut, cutting away.
But ‘O' dear me, I’m finding it hard.
As she a card maker, and a really good one.
And I don’t want to mess up and get it all wrong.

I know what to do now,

to wish her the big six “0”
I’ll add extra glitter, so my card sparkles and shines.
And I’m sure that she’ll love it.
Made by my very own hands.

Boxed Communion Memory Book

I had to make a boxed memory book for a boys Communion ,
with 45 photo's and 40 phrases it took about 14 hours in total. scanning the photos,
then photo shopping them, matting each image and phrase,
plus all the extra clip art images,
a real challenge, sizing everything to fit the pages.
I used 1 x 8 by 8 inch card which I cut in half, and scored to rejoin to make a spine. and added 18 pages,

with a side scored spine to create the book effect.

Teddy bears picnic card
This card was all about creating a friendship circle
there's a teabag in the envelope. and a lovely little jointed teddy bear
to act as the rest for the easel.
with little silver teaspoons on the handle and roses on the spout.
with a tiny decoupaged tea set on the floor
this is the verse inside the card.

I took inspiration for this card from
Miranda's Freubelsite on facebook
she is such a talented lady.

For whatever the reason
Whatever the season
Whatever the day may be
This teddy bear
I'm sending to you
with a little pack of tea
Because I'm thinking of you
and I hope it makes you smile
so boil the kettle and make a brew
and sip your tea and think of me
and reminisce a while.

for a while.
Add your address,
and you never know
A new friendship circle
You’ll help to grow.
