Dragons Lair September Challenge

Hi Ladies I have joined the Dragons Lair Design Team,

Dragons Lair inspirational Blog: HERE

Dragons Lair Challenge Blog HERE

Dragons Lair FACEBOOK GROUP: HERE

These are the projects I came up with using their
Holly Dayz Design
for the September Challenge
Theme. Anything but a Card

I use the Alphabet. HERE

and the Matting layers HERE

A Christmas Hanging Ornament
Noel

I have sized the 4 mats 15 cm Sq
and wrapped the lace across the mat diagonally,
the lace on each mat is in the opposite direction.

I then stuck the mats to green card and re-cut the shape allowing about a 1cm boarder, to make the mats stronger.

To stick the Mats to the ribbon I cut 4 green matting layers        13cm Sq, and placed them 7 cm apart on the ribbon, then stuck the the front layers to the backing mats.

Each letter is sized at 9 cm
and backed on to a 3-1/2 inch Scalloped  punched circle
these were raised on foam tape to lift them.

I arranged the holly and ivy leave on each layer, and added the poinsettias to the centre, and tucked the 3 red berries under the poinsettias.

And finished with a large red organza bow.

Christmas Hanging Decoration
Peace, Noel and Joy.

For this Ornament
I sized the mats smaller for each word.

Starting with Peace
back layer 19cm Square
Front layer 15cm

Noel
Back layer 17 cm Sq
front layer 13cm Sq

Joy
Back layer 14cm Sq
Front layer 11cm Sq

I put a Square mat behind each layer to strengthen  it.
the layers are raised on foam tape.

Each letter was sized to 3cm
and has a 3- 1/2 cm cream scalloped circle behind each one.

I added white poinsettias, holly and ivy leaves, and a mulberry paper dove with a feather behind it.

I assembled this project, the same way as the Hanging Noel.

Hanging Decoration

I use 12 x 3inch mat layers in 2 different colour schemes.
Folded each mat, in half, and stuck them back to back.
(before I stuck the last mat layer together)
I threaded fine florist wire, through the top and bottom of the little wooden angel
and threaded mixed beads on to the wire,  tied a ribbon loop, to the top beads, and hid the join, with a little bow.

I glued the gold tassel to the centre folds, before 1 stuck the end mat layer together.
