donations in aid of Five loaves.

Thank you to everyone who came to Trim yesterday
it was lovely to meet you all
Some of you friends for years, and some new ladies who joined us for the 1st time, new to card making,
and I hope you all enjoyed the day.
thank you to Ester for helping yesterday to set up, and everyone for helping tidy at the end of the evening.
It was a long day for Roberta and I, but well worth the drive, we were tired little crafter's when we got home, and I fell asleep before Downton so missed it.
A special thank you to Roberta, for all her help and support, I couldn't do the days without her, she's a little star.

We raised a fantastic €170.37 for the five loaves from the raffle and donations,  thank you from the bottom of my heart.

it's a fantastic charity.

looking forward to catching up with you all in 2015
God Bless

September DT Challenge
for Craft for the Craic
Theme, Anything but a Square or Rectangle

I decided to give the C5 side opening card a rounded finish
Front and back panels are 15cm by 21cm
and the front panel is scored at 6cm to form the side opening.
I use a side plate as a template for the front layers
the back layer is cut with a fiskars corner edge scissors
these scissors are no longer available from fiskars
but you can fine the odd one on ebay, if you see it grab it.

I added a pink mat layer inside, and a greeting panel to the back wall of the card, and a poem to the inside left panel
and finished the back layer with
paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
card fully opened

View of card flat
I chose a lovely vintage baby image
and decoupaged the layers
and added it to a circle doily
I added some lace to the side panel
which is stuck down flat
and finished it with a double bow.

You can find Craft for the craic on facebook HERE
