Afternoon Tea Theme cards

 2 Cards to share today
These cards are for no special occasion,
as I think these are the nicest cards to receive.
When you least expect one, its more special.
Plain printed background
With a narrow layered band across the lower half.
With a pretty matted and layered topper
With small doily to the right hand side,
I made these little tea bag holders to hold a single pack of tea.
a a tiny die-cut teapot and cup and saucer at side of tea packet.

It wrote this quote on the front
No other reason, as far as I know
For sending this card,
but to say
Hello.

I found this lovely poem for inside

When the World is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea
There is magic in its fragrance
There is solace in its taste
And the laden moment vanish
Somehow into space
And the World becomes a lovely thing
There’s beauty as you’ll see
All because you briefly stopped
To drink a cup of tea.
By William Gladstone

This card has the same quote, but a different poem.
Images from delightful doodle.
18cm Sq printed background, on 19cm sq mint green background.
Teapot and cup and saucer, as overlayer on the background,
then I added some decoupage layers to the teacup.
and a selection of cakes to the bottom.

A Loving Recipe
For a Perfect Cup of Tea
1 Willing friend who loves to sit and share
1 Grateful heart to have a friend that cares
1 Beautiful garden to show us God is near
Many wonderful memories
of times shared throughout the years
Lots of smiles and laughter
to brighten up our days
Many prayers that we prayed
for each other along the way
I’m so blessed to have a friend like you
to share in everything I do.
For one special friend sharing a special cup of tea
truly makes this a perfect recipe.
(not sure who this is by, as I found it on pinterest, under a tea picture with no name attached)
