Quiet a few ladies liked this card on FaceBook
which I made October 2012
which I made October 2012
So said I would share it again.
The main image is a Vintage Christmas image from HERE
The Recipes and food clip art are from Printable Heaven, HERE
It's a simple C5 landscape
Using a cream patterned background on a burgundy layer
I added a strip of Burgundy ribbon and overlayer so pretty cream cotton lace,
I use the lovely image of the little girl baking. which I matted and layered onto cream, burgundy and gold card allowing a 1/2 cm border each layer.
Stuck some gathered lace behind the image,
and stuck it the the right hand side of the card
I Cut out a selection of the recipe ingredient card
and the matching topper.
and layered them with foam pads for dimension.
I made a Pocket to store the recipe cards in for the back of the card
Hope you enjoy having a go, at making it yourself.
I will have a look through some old instructions and add a few more during the week

When the girls left, there was lots of scraps left,
so ended up making a few more.

that I made last week
Lovely teddybear image decoupage
on a patchwork background
With Ribbon, Ric-rac and button detail
This image was but out and then stuck to card,
and cut again to make it stronger.
I added the organza shawl and ribbon under the chin,
and secured it at the back,
and then raised it on the original image.
and added the selection of miniature paper roses to the hat.

July DT Challenge
for Craft for the Craic
Theme,Summer Time
I went for an afternoon tea theme
for my summer card this month
and couldn't decide on which image I love the most, so used both.
the card is for a birthday, but has an invitation to Afternoon Tea attached
(See poem I wrote below)
I used a 20cm cream Scalloped card
and a A4 card scored at 19cm to make the card front.
I cut a 10cm panel from another 20cm cream scalloped card to line the inside of the A4 card front,
(so that the card could stand balanced).
I have used 2 shabby chic pink polkadot backgrounds,
1 to line the inside of front card,
and 1 to add a matting layer for the front fold.
Each image has a pink mat layer, and a doily layer,
I found the pretty tag, and turned it into an invitation.
Added some decoupage with a teapot and cups to the lower right of the card front. and some pretty leaves, roses and pearls. to the inside front panel and the front of the card.
(Inside view of front card)
Afternoon
Tea Invitation
I haven't see you in ages
What can
the matter be?
I’ve
remembered it’s your birthday soon
So I made
this card for you
With this
invitation to join me.
In the
taking of Afternoon Tea.
Would
Saturday afternoon suit
Say
around half past three.
And we
will sit and reminisce
While we
sip our cups of tea.
The main 20 cm Scalloped card has a lovely summer poem
and greeting

July DT Challenge for
Dragons Lair
Theme, Shabby Chic
The beautiful rose background papers are from the
Simply Soft Collection HERE
And the vintage green background is from
Our Family Collection HERE
The vintage rose topper is from HERE
I tore the edges of the green paper,
and then tore into the top right to expose the back of the paper, rolled the edges to create the V shape,
I stuck the green background to the rose background,
them to gold card.
Matted and layer the rose topper to pink the gold, and stuck it raised ton foam pads at an angle.
Overlayed the pink lace with threaded green ribbon. and stuck the layer to the card front.
added some lace under the rolled edges, and added the cameo.
And some green trim to the edge of the topper.
and finished with a green bow, leaves and roses.
When I had finished playing, I had a selection of ribbon and lace bows, still on the table and decided to add them all.
now I'm not so sure, as sometimes less is more.

A bit of excitement last Friday.
came down to find this in my porch a sleep.
Wasn't sure what it was, as it was so big, and the way it was sleeping it looked like an very large owl from the back
grabbed the camera, but by the time I got back, it was on the move,
but managed to get a few photos, before it headed over the wall to my neighbours garden.
Peahen
Don't panic, the ISPCA, arrived and caught it in a net, and delivered it back to where it came from.
I don't normally show or share personal stuff, but am so proud of my husband, who has created a little bit of heaven in our back garden I wanted to share his handy work.
