Well I said I would share my Christmas cake with you, having enjoyed Kay Roche's Sugar Craft Demonstration at my last Workshop in Kikenny, I said I would give the snow men ago, Garreth and and I had great fun making them. I used my Glass mat covered in cellophane, as a cake board as I couldn't get one any where, and made the poinsettias from my spellbinders die cutters,
thank you Kay for your inspiration, mine's not a patch on your, but well worth all the effort, really found the trees hard to do, even thou you made it look so easy.

Handmade Christmas Decorations

Here are the 2 decorations we are making this evening at
Card Art
I changed my mind about the Honeycomb Paper Ball Decoration as it would drive you mad, and you would need the patience of a Saint to make them.
But I did a tutorial on my Tutorial page
if you fancy giving it ago.

I only used 6 of the Nestie Die-cuts instead of 8
The Tutorial for this Snow Flake Ornament can be found HERE
on  A Path of paper

Tutorial for this Snow Flake Ornament can be found HERE
I found this one on Split coast stampers by Becca from Amazing Paper Grace
This one is only one-sided. (the one on the tutorial is double sided)
as we made 2 instead on the night, as the girls thought it was a waste, as it wouldn't be seen. we added the extra snowflakes to the hanging ribbon. and would be lovely as a topper on a card.

I Still have a few left if your interested.

Dec 4, 2011

Looking forward to catching up with everyone on Wednesday evening, and then lunch on Thursday in Newtownmountkennedy.
enjoy the rest of the weekend what ever your doing.

Question from Rosaleen,
How I can best glue an paper embellishment to 'glitter paper' like an emery board. I tried raised pads but no joy.
Answer
Try rubbing away some of the glitter with an emery board, and dusting it with a soft brush, to make the card smoother, this helps foam pads to stick easier, or a product I have found, which works every time is Sticky Fingers Glitter bond. HERE you only need a tiny amount to adhere the topper to the glitter card.
