July DT Challenge
for Craft for the Craic
Theme,Summer Time

I went for an afternoon tea theme
for my summer card this month
and couldn't decide on which image I love the most, so used both.
the card is for a birthday, but has an invitation to Afternoon Tea attached
(See poem I wrote below)
I used a 20cm cream Scalloped card
and a A4 card scored at 19cm to make the card front.
I cut a 10cm panel from another 20cm cream scalloped card to line the inside of the A4 card front,
(so that the card could stand balanced).
I have used 2 shabby chic pink polkadot backgrounds,
1 to line the inside of front card,
and 1 to add a matting layer for the front fold.
Each image has a pink mat layer, and a doily layer,
I found the pretty tag, and turned it into an invitation.
Added some decoupage with a teapot and cups to the lower right of the card front. and some pretty leaves, roses and pearls. to the inside front panel and the front of the card.

Afternoon Tea Invitation

haven't see you in ages
What can the matter be?
I’ve remembered it’s your birthday soon
So I made this card for you
With this invitation to join me.
In the taking of Afternoon Tea.
Would Saturday afternoon suit
Say around half past three.
And we will sit and reminisce
While we sip our cups of tea.

The main 20 cm Scalloped card has a lovely summer poem
and greeting
