Hi Girls I had a great weekend away with my sister and her friends, in Wexford have to say it's a great town for shopping really enjoyed going round the shops on Saturday and Sunday morning before heading home, Got some beautiful Christmas presents and a lovely jacket for myself, looking forward to our Christmas Party night on Wednesday, see you all there regards Yvonne

Kilcoole Craft Club tomorrow night

Hi Everyone I'm back to the land of the living, I thought my face was going to explode yesterday, after the dentist, but it's calmed down this morning, still some pain but not to bad,
We have our last club tomorrow night for 2009, lots planned so bring your ribbons as we are going to make beautiful ribbon decorations and gift bows,
I have some beautiful kits for sale, and managed to do the Leopard kit as well.
Anne Lennon has a sale table at 9.00

Hi Ladies just wanted to say thank you for a great day yesterday, the weather was so awful I thought no one would turn up, but I had a full class, and moving to the big hall I wasn't sure it would be warm enough, but we were all fine, the lighting is also much better for crafting so my next workshop will be in St Patrick's hall, hope everyone got home safe and sound, my lovely husband have my dinner ready and all the ironing done, so nice quiet day today for me, wish me luck for dentist tomorrow I'm dreading it, thanks again Yvonne

Is card making still as popular

Just wanted to ask this question as I'm not sure,
Do you think Card Making is as Popular as it was, I seem to as busy as every but have very little feed back, on my blog, so want to know are you thinking of going to Crafts 4 U in February, I have planned to teach 2 classes, on the Saturday, and want to know what you would like from the classes, please email me HERE with any suggestions, are you going to both or just one day, and if so which day have you planned to go. would really appreciate your feed back, Yvonne

Hi Everyone, our next Club meeting is Wednesday the 25th of November at 7.30 in Lee's Pub Main Street Kilcoole.
This will be the last meeting untill January, so we would love to see as many members as possible, everyone one welcome, especially new members, if you have just started Card making, pop in to see what the club is all about, make a kit with us, and pick up lots of top tips to help you with your new Hobby, you don't have to become a member, Just come along as a guest, and have a great time crafting,

Time 10.30 to 5.00

Theme Bygone Years

Please bring a packed lunch, unless you want to eat out, Lunch will be 1.00 to 2.15, Tea/coffee and biscuits supplied all day. We will make 4 projects in this class and you will receive 4 more kits to make at home, Please bring a full tool kit of Craft Mat, Paper Trimmer, Scoring Board, Craft Knife, Scissors, Glue Gun if you have one, Double sided Tape, Foam pads, peel-offs, tweezers, A gold ink pad, Coloured Chalks, A lace boarder punch, or any boarder punch you have, as this will help speed up the class, as the days are getting darker if you have a craft lamp please bring it along with an extension lead, I do have some spare tools if you don't have everything, but please let me know. A cushion as chairs are a bit hard, and your own Mug , as the hall is so much bigger, please bring an extra cardigan/jumper /fleece so you wont feel cold, I will have the heating on all day, and I wasn't joking when I said something to throw over you knees, we just don't know what the weather will be like on the day. and I don't want you to feel cold. Theme this month is Bygone Years Vintage style very feminine cards one or 2 Christmas, but mainly special occasion card. I will be using some of my new nestability boarders and frames, so very pretty cards, if there something you would like to make at this class please let me know, as I can try to fit it in.I will have 2 sections in this class. Section 1 for advanced crafters, and Section 2 for the crafters who feel they need more help, I will demonstrate each project and then give Section 2 more help, allowing Section 1 to move forward more quickly. Hope this suits everyone. I will have the shop at this class, but it will only open during lunch time and again after we make the 4th project,

Back from NEC

Hi Everyone the NEC was brilliant, the best show yet, but very crowded, there was thousands of crafter's, I spent a fortune, lost the girls on Saturday, so headed back to hotel, we shopped till we dropped, the hotel was lovely and would recommend it to anyone right in the centre of Birmingham, thanks to Trish Phil Miriam and Karen for a fantastic weekend, came home well and truly Knackered, so back to work today getting kits ready for my Workshop on the 21st of November see details below.

Crafts 4 U Event in Abbeyleix

Delighted to tell you that I will be teaching 2 classes at the Crafts 4 U Event in February more details Here keep the dates free 5th and 6th of February in the Abbeyleix Manor Hotel
I just need to finalise my classes and then I will give you a sneek peek of the designs, both classes will be for advanced levels, but I will demo all day friday and have kits to sell of all the demonstration cards, keep checking in for more details.

Birmingham here we come

I will be away from Wednesday for a few days as we are off to Birmingham to the Hobbycraft show in the NEC, can't wait, just finished my last cards for this week, so having a big tidy up to give the family a proper kitchen for a few days, even thou I have a workroom I still end up in the kitchen, as my computer is there, have been working on my samples for the November Workshop (see post below) I need cotton lace and tassels and gold buttons, so hope to get them in Birmingham, I will be adding to the list of what you need to bring, so remember to check back, confirmation emails will be sent on the 9th of November to confirm your place. bye for now, will be back Monday with all the news Yvonne
